Stow Claims Victory Over Nordonia in Intense Game
The Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs claimed victory over the Nordonia Knights with a final score of 53-40 in a nail-biting match on Friday night. The Knights came into the game ranked #23 and the Bulldogs were ranked #8 by Cleveland.com. Nordonia took the win in the first contest this season 66-64, and a win would keep them alive for at least a share of the Suburban League Conference title.
The second quarter saw Nordonia take the lead with a big three from Tyler Harrington, bringing the score to 18-15. The Knights managed to hold onto their lead and went into halftime with 24-20 lead.
The third quarter saw both teams exchange blows, with Nordonia's Liam Gopalakrishna hitting a big three to bring the score to 30-25, and Stow's Senior Center, AJ Pestello making a great move in the post to bring the score to 32-29.
