Despite the loss, the Eagles had a strong performance from Ohio Gatorade Player of the Year, senior George Washington III, who had 14 points and four rebounds. Senior guard Jayson Levis played a crucial role with 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
The victory marks Lutheran West's first-ever appearance in the state championship game, and they will face Akron Buchtel. Lutheran West's impressive performance in the semifinal game has certainly set the stage for what promises to be an exciting championship matchup.
