LIV GOLF looks to make its return to the Hoosier State this Thursday, August 20th at 1:15 p.m. ET, through the 23rd at Chatham Hills Club in Indiana. With the tournament looming, along with high stakes and a higher payout, we at SkyHigh Sportz want to give our wonderful supporters a preview of what is to come!
The season concludes in Westfield, Indiana, since it hosted the year previous. We will see a 2026 team be crowned, as 13 different groups will compete across four rounds in an all-scores-count format. Every single stroke and score for each player is added up for the group. Legion XIII, led by Jon Rahm who is looking to redeem his second place from the 2025 season. As well as Torque GC, who claimed their first title the previous year, with Joaquin Newman earning his individual victory in New York.
Ripper GC is looking to rewrite a massive wrong after coming in last place in 2025 at Chatham Hills. With some of its golfers like Marc Leishman and Cameron Smith giving out spectacular performances, can this team come out with a win? With so many different squads looking to claim the title, this season could shape up to be one of the most competitive to date.
Although they came in second last year, Jon Rahm seems to be entering this tournament differently. Rahm has clinched the individual championship this season after placing 1st place twice and 2nd place 4 times, securing a whopping 944.54 points. This weekend will look to determine second and third place, with the winner earning 200 points. Bryson DeChambeau looks to secure his second-place finish as he is standing at 726.20, not securing him a win but a good standing.
The leader of The Crushers GC looks to lock his spot, as this weekend is a must-win for DeChambeau. However, Joaquin Niemann and Lucas Herbert, who occupy 3rd and 4th, could both land that second place with a win, as neither man would be able to win the championship but could still move up. Moral of the story is though, Jon Rahm is on another level.
With the weather looking to have high 70s to 80 degrees with breezy winds. Saturday looks to have some showers that afternoon. The Chatham Hills course will be hosted for a second consecutive year with a $40 Million Purse in total. Although the season will be cut short, it leaves the season with even more questions. Who will be walking away with the team title, and can DeChambeau keep his second-place standing? Find out Thursday August 20th at 1:15 p.m. ET in FOX.
