Green Goes 2-0 in Varsity Double-Header over Perry
The Green Bulldogs boys and girls basketball teams go into the Christmas break on a positive note, as both teams defeated the Perry Panthers in a varsity double-header.
Lady Bulldogs Routs Lady Panthers 52-32
The Lady Bulldogs of Green defeated the Lady Panthers 52-32. After a dominant 13-0 1st quarter, the Bulldogs kept their momentum until the final buzzer. Guard Ava Kouri finished the night with a team-high 11 points, while Guard Meredith Viar added 9 points. For the Panthers, Guard Ally Mattox finished with a team-high 10 points, while Guard Riley Jones and Forward Mya Patton added 6 points each.
Bulldogs will advance to 4-3 on the season and will travel South Range to take on the Hathaway Brown Blazers at the South Range Holiday Hoops Classic on December 28th at 5:30pm. The Panthers will fall to 4-5 and will travel to Tuslaw to take on the Mustangs on December 27th @ 7pm.
Bulldogs Complete 2-0 Sweep with 56-34 Win over Perry
Following the girls win, the Green Bulldogs boys team defeated the Perry Panthers 56-34 to complete the full varsity sweep to end their Friday night. Guard Antonio Martin finished the night with 17 points for the Bulldogs, while Guard Brady Rollyson added 10 points. For the Panthers, Guard Drake Jacobsen finished with 9 points, while Guard Darnell McLeod and Center Preston Dazey added 7 points each.
With the win, the Green Bulldogs advances to 4-1 and will host the Solon Comets on December 29th at 7pm. The Panthers will fall to 2-6 and will host the Indian Valley Braves on December 27th at 4pm.
