Pioneers Defends Home Turf Against Cavaliers in Hail and Rain

The Malone Men’s Lacrosse team defeated the Walsh Cavaliers 16-12 in a game of multiple weather seasons. The Pioneers, who are entering their second season of the program, avenged their chippy 22-6 loss to the Cavaliers from the previous season. For the Pioneers, junior Attack Heath Talon and sophomore Attack Zac Smargiasso finished with 4 goals, while redshirt sophomore Attack Luke Ory followed with 3 and senior Goalkeeper Phillip Bell finished with 16 saves. For the Cavaliers, senior Attack Colby Bowman finished with 4 goals, while freshman Toby Olynyk followed with 2 and junior Goalkeeper Alex Movshin finished with 16 goals.

With the win, the Pioneers advanced to a 8-4 (4-0 G-MAC) record, as the Cavaliers fell to 4-8 (2-2 G-MAC).
