Game #1:
The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers claimed the first game of the day with a 14-0 win over host Woodridge. The Black Tigers totaled for 18 hits for 14 runs with senior Katie Knepper (3-3, Run, RBI) and sophomore Mackenzie Miller (3-4, Double, Run, 4 RBIs) led the pack with 3 hits each, while senior Julee Phillips (2-4, Run, RBI), sophomore MJ Mastrodonato (2-3, 2 Runs, RBI) and sophomore Caitlyn Cowher (2-4) followed with 2 hits. On the Mound, Tri-C commit senior Julee Phillips earned the win with 10 strikeouts and only 1 hit and 2 walks in 5 innings, while Cowher closed out the game with 1 strikeout in the last inning. The Bulldogs totaled only one hit against Phillips, which was by Faith Johnson. On the mound, Sadie Honeck pitched 3.1 innings, allowing 11 hits for 8 runs and 6 errors, while walking and striking out one. Sarah Rathbun also pitched 2.2 innings, allowing 7 hits for 6 runs while walking one and striking out two.
Game #2:
Following the win, the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers continued their dominance with a 18-1 win over CVCA. This time, the Black Tigers totaled 15 hits on 18 runs, with senior Julee Phillips (3-3, 2B, 3B, HR, 2 Runs, 6 RBIs) and sophomore Mackenzie Miller (3-4, 3B, Run, RBI) tallying 3 hits, while senior Katie Knepper (2-3, 2 Runs, 3 RBIs) and sophomore Caitlyn Cowher (2-4, Run, RBI) followed with 2 hits. Junior Madi Davis also sent one over the fence for a 3-run homer. On the mound, Phillip added 14 more K’s to her resume, only allowing 1 run and walked two in 5 innings. For the Royals, Sarah Bronowski scored the only run of the game, stealing home on a wild pitch. On the mound, Lily Siemen took the loss, allowing 15 hits for 18 runs on 12 errors, while walking six and striking out four in 4 innings.
Game #3:
The Woodridge Bulldogs bounced back from their loss with a 12-6 win over CVCA to conclude the Battle of The Falls triple-header. The Bulldogs amassed 10 hits for 12 runs in the final game, with junior Catie Patterson (3-4, HR, 4 Runs, 2 RBIs) leading the pack. Sarah Rathbun (2-3, 3B, 3 Runs, RBI) and June Kaser (2-4, 3B, RBI) followed Patterson with 2 hits each and Wagner (1-3, 2B, 2 RBIs) hitting one. On the mound, Olivia Wagner pitched 3 innings, allowing 6 hits for 6 runs on 4 errors while walking four and striking out three batters. Sadie Honeck closed out the game allowing only 2 hits for no runs, walking two batters and striking out six in the final 4 innings. The Royals finished with 8 total hits for 6 runs, with Bianca Czarnecki (3-4, Run, RBI) leading with 3 hits for a run and an RBI, while Lily Robb (2-4, Run) followed with 2 hits for a run. Lily Siemen (1-2, Run), Hannah Shaw (1-4, Run, RBI), and Kya Shelford (1-3, Run) also added one hit each. On the mound, Emma Jones took the loss, allowing 10 hits for 12 runs on 7 errors, while walking five and striking out nine in 7 innings.
