Sharife Cooper and Isaiah Mobley have both been named to the All-NBA G League Team. Cooper earned 2nd Team honors, while Mobley was named to the 3rd Team.
Cooper had an exceptional year for the Cleveland Charge, who made their first postseason appearance since the 2015-16 season, finishing with an 18-14 record, and concluding their 2022-23 season in a hard-fought conference semifinal loss to the Long Island Nets, 111-107. He was named NBA G League Player of the Month in January 2023 when he led the team to a 7-1 record, averaging an impressive 27.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game. He also earned G League Player of the Week honors twice and a spot on the G League All-Star Team. Cooper averaged 22.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 7 assists per game on the season and also set a franchise record for assists in a game with 17.
Mobley, a former USC standout, has also made his mark in the G League this season. He averaged 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game for the Cleveland Charge, earning a spot on the G League All-Star Team. Mobley's talent and versatility were on full display in a game against the College Park Skyhawks, where he nearly recorded a triple-double. He scored 30 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, dished out 8 assists, and blocked one shot to lead the Charge to a victory.
Both Cooper and Mobley have proven that they are talented and hardworking players who are capable of making an impact at the professional level. Their inclusion on the All-NBA G League Teams is a testament to their dedication and skill, and hopefully we will see them shine in the NBA soon.
